The Dossier: Kim France, Lucky Magazine Founding Editor

We sat down with the inspiring Kim France, Lucky founding editor and author of the wildly successful blog, Girls of a Certain Age. The fashion icon gave us a rare glimpse into her personal style from where to splurge to her favorite vintage pieces, along with a few indispensable pieces of fashion advice.

My style is arty classic.

Jewelry makes me feel  feminine, pulled-together, and — depending on the piece — actually prettier.

Best style advice I’ve received is to always make sure to put your shoes back on before looking in the dressing room mirror, or ask for a pair of heels. Seems obvious, but that’s the only way you’re going to get a real sense of whether an item works.

My best style advice is spend big on classics and shop the high street stores for trends.

My favorite piece is a vintage snake ring with diamond eyes that I wear every day.

If I had $500 burning a hole in my pocket, I would buy a couple of vintage Peter Max posters.

My Iconery must-have is James Colarusso’s Icon pendant.
